Black & White Crackle Earrings

These crackle glaze earrings are carefully hand crafted in the USA. The ceramic components are hand molded, air dried, and kiln fired. Most pieces undergo a three step process. Steps include molding and drying, staining, and first fire in kiln. Then, a final glaze firing  at a temperature of 1046 Celsius ( 1914.8 degrees Fahrenheit). This piece had an additional step for the silver accents, an additional low firing. Each firing lasts approximately 8 hours, not accounting for the time spent sculpting and drying.
